Career background:

Joined Castle as an administrative assistant in the IT department. Returned to school after a project leader suggested she try computer programming. Earned her degree and moved into an associate programmer role. Has grown with Castle for the past 25 years.

Current responsibilities:

"Right now, I’m an ERP technical leader. My team is responsible for portions of implementation, such as ensuring that all of the reports, interfaces, conversions, and extensions are complete and the infrastructure is in place. We’re also overseeing pilots and user interface testing and addressing issues as they arise. Bottom line, we’re partnering with the businesses to service their needs, and ease their transition to the new system."

What I like most about my job:

"In IT we work as a team. I’ve had great managers and leaders that have helped me to grow professionally. I really enjoy the opportunity to be creative in developing new solutions. As the mother of three children, I appreciate the flexibility Castle has extended to me. And last but not least, I like coaching people and find it really rewarding to see people grow. I was given opportunities throughout my career, so now it’s my turn to help others be successful."

About Castle:

"When I walk in the door each morning, I’m never sure what the day will hold, other than that I’ll be creating something new or solving a problem. Every time I think things might start to get boring in my job, something new comes along to spark my interest - a promotion, a new project, a training opportunity. So it’s always kept my interest."

Next career goal:

"My immediate goal is to ensure our ERP implementation is successful! Then I’d like to look into taking on a professional services manager role."

What I do for fun:

Scrapbooking, seeing movies with family, attending her children’s dance competitions
