Career background:

14 years at Deloitte & Touche where he most recently served as a senior manager in their assurance and enterprise risk services practice. While at Deloitte, Pat was responsible for providing services to some of the world’s largest organizations as well as leading certain internal development areas.

Current responsibilities:

"As Corporate Controller and CAO, I’m responsible for all financial reporting, financial and tax accounting, and effective design and operation of internal controls for A. M. Castle & Co. worldwide. I manage a shared services team of financial accountants, tax accountants, and accounts payable staff."

What I like most about my job:

"Before Castle, I was working in public accounting with a specialty in process manufacturing - specifically steel - so Castle was in an industry I knew and enjoyed. Also, I was very interested in Castle’s business strategy and thought it would make for a challenging, dynamic environment - and it has!"

"Even though Castle is over 100 years old and many employees have worked here for a long time, people have been extremely welcoming and open to considering new ideas and new ways of doing things."

"Support the business with our new ERP system conversion, and continue building a world-class finance organization that proactively supports and drives the enterprise to meet its strategic and financial goals."
