Alloy 4130 in bar, plate & tube
SPECIFICATIONS: GRADE ALLOY 4130, AISI 4130, UNS G41300
Castle Metals stocks a wide range of Alloy 4130 in bar distributed globally from our distribution centers in North America, as well as in the U.K, France, Singapore, and Shanghai. When customers call us for 4130, sometimes they also share how they struggle with price volatility. A lot of times, Castle has options to take significant risk out of our customers’ procurement process. Alloy 4130 is a chrome-moly alloy.
It is very popular for welding applications and is often used in the normalized condition without further heat treatment. It can be nitrided to enhance its wear quality. Its popularity is primarily due to its weldability, hardenability, and machinability. Alloy 4130 contains similar properties as Alloy 8630. Alloy 4130 is stocked in normalized, quenched, and tempered condition.
